This game was
developed by Incog Inc. the developers of Twisted Metal
Black and War of the Monsters so you know the
action is going to be fast and furious. Besides the 14
different riders there are 27 courses around the globe
including tropical islands, desert canyons, mountain passes
and city streets among others. Races can have up to 10
competitors and the courses are dynamically changing with
different weather, trees and even rock slides.
In career mode of
the game racers try and win races to gain corporate
sponsorship. Sponsorship means official gear and the latest
parts and equipment for your ride. The more races you win the
more points/cash are accumulated to purchase upgraded bike
frames, wheels and suspensions. Other single player modes
include Practice, Single Event, Freestyle, Time Trial, and
Training. Multi player modes are broken down into Practice,
Single Event, Arcade, Freestyle and Custom Tournament Editor.
In addition to the
fully customizable bikes, Downhill Domination
incorporates more than 30 tricks and a ton of combat tactics.
Combat tactics include jamming sticks into competitors’
spokes, throwing water bottles, and executing hip checks. The
crazy aerial stunts can be “Superstyled” and “Combo’d” via the
Super Trick System to gain even more points. Points and
victories unlock numerous bonus features: Extra Courses,
Bonus Riders, Downhill Video Clips, Game Attribute Editors,
Music Tracks and more!
You can’t have a
hard rocking racing game without some good music so
Downhill Domination comes with 20 licensed punk, hip-hop,
techno and classic rock tracks.
Based
on the past success of titles from this development shop and
the anticipation surrounding this one of a kind game I am
looking forward to shredding down the mountain.
