If you want
to spend little and get a lot, deadly dozen is the game
you want to grab. It's basically a good budget-priced
tactical shooter that packs quite a punch.
It's a single player only tactical mission oriented game
with ultra cool scenery and gameplay. At the beginning of
a mission, you get to select 4 units for your squad and
arm them with the weapons that would be most effective for
that mission. There are not that many weapons to choose
from so your decision shouldn't be that hard, hehehe.
Which four units you select depends on your playing style.
I am a big proponent of range weapons, so I basically arm
my whole squad with the standard rifle with scope and the
thompson submachine gun as secondary. Once the action starts,
then you get to play as one of them in first

person mode and
command the other three. You can assign formation to your
squad, but I've found that the default formation works best
for most missions.
The key to winning the game is to be very aware of your environment,
move slowly and meticulously and take out the nazis scum
from a distance. If you want to play hero, arm yourself
with a submachine gun, charge in and pray for the best.
I've tried it both ways and had lots of fun.
There are 10 fun filled, action packed missions that covers the
entire WW2 European and North African theater of operation.
Most missions are outdoors with some indoor environments.
You'll really appreciate the great job they did with setting
the mood and the environment. To some degree, you control the
pace of the action. Those nazi scums do patrol around, so even
if you hide like a rat in some corner, they'll eventually find
you and put you out of your misery with the typical nazi efficiency.
With the exception of your sniper rifle, you don't have to worry
about running out of ammo. Since you can always pick up mp40 and
german karbinger rifles from dead nazis. If you make it to the
last stage, don't try to run through the shelling barrage, simply
swim across the river and attack the railway gun from the water.
It's sooooo much easier than going direct.
In conclusion, i’m giving this game 3.5 planets. It can't compete
with ghost recon or operation flashpoint, but it’s definitely more
than worth the $19.99 price tag.
