Hero - PLANET42 Review
[Reviews]
Also
known as "Ying xiong", "Hero" is a beautiful, epic film and
begs to be seen on the big screen. We have Quentin
Tarantino to thank for bringing this masterpiece to the
American Megaplexes. Don't write it off as a
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" wannabe, because it is so
much more. Read the full review and find out more.

Anacondas: The
Hunt for the Blood Orchid
[Reviews]
The
original 1997 "Anaconda" was a somewhat entertaining B
movie. It's famous for helping to launch the career of
Jennifer Lopez, who is now better known as the overspending,
over promoted J-Lo. If one big ass snake was scary, then
multiple big ass snakes should be even scarier. That seems
to be the thinking behind "Anacondas". Does the premise
work? Find out in our full review.

Dawn of the
Dead - PLANET42 Review
[Reviews]
George A. Romero is hailed as a
horror movie god by zombie flick fans "in-the-know". His
1968 classic "Night of the Living Dead" redefined horror
movies and the original 1978 "Dawn of the Dead" took the
zombie genre to the next level. 1985's "Day of the Dead"
completed what enthusiasts refer to as "The Dead Trilogy".
The much hyped remake is now upon us. Does it improve
upon the original or at least do it justice? Read the
full review and find out.

50 First Dates
[Reviews]
"The
always hilarious Adam Sandler hooks up with the lovely Drew
Barrymore again in this cute little romantic comedy (seems
like a common theme lately, huh?). People could see the on
screen chemistry Sandler had with Barrymore in The Wedding
Singer, and were wondering when we could get another glimpse
at that again. It’s exactly what I expected and a little
more." Read the full review!

The
Passion of the Christ
[Reviews]
"Shocking.
Appalling. Amazing. I could sit here and just throw out
adjectives all day that would attempt to describe this movie,
but not only would it fail to do justice to it, it would be a
great disservice to it... It sends chills down my spine
recalling some of the downright gruesome scenes that Mel
Gibson used to show what Christ went through during the final
hours of his life." Read the full review.

The
Super Bowl XXXVIII - New England Patriots Championship DVD was
released 2/24 and our man Shamples has a full review for you
on 2/25. The DVD is already selling out in stores across
the country, which isn't surprising considering it's probably
the most exciting Super Bowl ever played. You won't see
Janet Jackson's nipples in this DVD, and that's a good thing!

Along Came
Polly Review
[Reviews]
Sick of Ben Stiller quirky
romantic comedies yet? We aren't. From the
co-writer of "Meet the Parents' comes "Along Came Polly".
Ben seems to be sticking to
his comedy guns and not making any drastic moves towards
dramatic roles. This is definitely the case with "Along
Came Polly". You'll feel instantly familiar with his
role as Reuben Feffer - Insurance Risk Assessor.

The
Butterfly Effect Review

Butterfly Effect" as chilling as its previews suggest?

The
Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD Review
[Reviews]
"Aqua Teen Hunger Force is
the cheaply-made fan favorite from Williams Street about a
shape-shifting meatwad, wizard fries, and the power-less shake
that steers them." New PLANET42 Reviewer, Jimmy Kustes,
digs beneath the grease and tells us what's what with
"DVD release of the craziest cartoon outside of Canada, UK, or
Japan." Animation may never be the same again.

Love Actually: Official P42 review
[Reviews]
"
Well, this film opened in the US a week ago. But it opened in the UK this weekend.
That’s right, an almost entirely British cast with people you may not recognise,
made by a UK company at least in part and I wait a week more than you. You may have
noticed in this week’s Hollyweird that this kind of thing annoys me when it’s an
American big box office movie. Imagine how this makes me feel? This didn’t reflect
my opinion of the movie. Speaking of which..." Love all the way folks!! Or total agony actually?

Matrix Revolutions, action?
[Reviews]
"
n Wednesday I took the day off. I went to get the bus to Inverness and was just giving
up on it arriving when it turned up. I met up with my mate, watched a movie, went to his
and played a bit of Game Cube (Robotech = not bad, Soul Calibre 2 = kicks ass) then got a
lift home. What? Oh, you want to hear about the movie? Okay then..." Revolutions is
here. MacGyver talks about it, but is having a hard time doing so.

The AniMatrix, P42 reviews!
[Reviews]
"
To celebrate the release of the third and final Matrix movie this week, MATRIX:
REVOLUTIONS, I’m reviewing the first two films. And as an added bonus today I’m
going to review THE ANIMATRIX. This is a little strange to review, as it’s actually
9 shorts. And unfortunately I can’t remember where my copy is, so they probably won’t
be in the order on the DVD... Anyway, here are 8 little reviews of 9 little movies." Macgyver's second in the Matrix series, coming closer to the revolutions.
